To provide a solution to the drawbacks of these original mechanisms, the engineers at Garador have developed a completely new product, the GaraMatic Canopy Operator. This new operator has been designed specifically to automate Garador’s extensive range of canopy up & over garage doors. Simon Hipgrave, Managing Director of Garador, says “The new GaraMatic Canopy Operator has been designed specifically for Garador’s range of canopy up & over doors and we believe it is an excellent new addition to our existing range of operators.” This unique operator enables full opening height and has the benefit of the door being fully operational when in manual mode. Having unrestricted drive-through height into the garage is an important point as the original canopy bow-arm design reduced drive-through height by 140mm. When the door is fully open, the activating arm supplied with the GaraMatic Canopy, sits behind the edge of the door providing unrestricted drive through height. This will be of real benefit to many canopy door owners who want an automated garage door. At the heart of the GaraMatic Canopy Operator is the GaraMatic 9 making it quick and easy to retrofit to existing Garador canopy geared doors. The new GaraMatic Canopy Operator is only available as a complete system; the activating arm and operator unit will not be sold separately and it has been designed specifically for use with Garador canopy Up & Over garage doors.
