Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk The new top cable pulley wheel assembly will now be pre-installed to the top of the frame leg, cutting down on install time. In addition the side of the frame leg will be pre punched to accept the manual lock keep in different positions as well as a pre punched keep for the sprung side bolt supplied as standard with every door. If the keep is not required a capping piece will be supplied to prevent finger entrapment. An improved in between fix kit was launched with the 107mm profile now being offered not only as leg covers profile but facia covers as well! Allowing this system to be installed in smaller opening or giving greater door and drive through height. The new door also has pre-punched horizontal tracks along their length, enabling easy pick up of ceiling fixing points. Combined with this is the addition of a new telescopic back bar fixing system allowing simple installation to side walls, meaning quicker and stable track and door installation. Bottom Nylon footplate to help stabilise the frame leg and help counteract the possibility of corrosion of the bottom of the frame. This also gives a seamless linear match to the new deeper multi chambered, pre-installed bottom seal with adjustable depth stopper to help compensate for uneven floors! New door hardware is now galvanised with aluminium cast roller holder and smaller captive bearing rollers. This new design also includes a new bottom roller assembly in a two part easy install concept. Not only that, all the hinge parts have small stabiliser indentations which prevent the hinges being installed out of square and placing extra stress and load on the hinge. On Trend front mount torsion doors a new design of spring mount has been applied. This new system is simple to install! With a new click and bolt system for mounting the spring assembly unit to the frame leg, which again will have the spring support bracket pre-installed to the frame leg. Also a new shaft bearing support with axis adjustment which will help keep and support the spring shaft on a parallel plane even if the installation surface is not. Not only have Alutech introduced the Trend range, they have also introduced new options for both the Trend and Classic doors such as: Wicket doors with matching RAL painted coloured profiles which surround the wicket door can be produced to match with the door panel colour if required. The new 20mm low threshold has a new increased width option of up to 5000mm wide. A new range of vision windows with include porthole style windows and square windows in plastic and stainless steel. All these new options now can be pre-installed horizontally or vertically along the face of the door. RAL colour matching is also available on plastic window frames. In conclusion the new Trend range offers greatly improved tracks and hardware systems, easier installation of doors and increased sales value options. In simple terms it’s a door system you should be installing or your competitors will! Prices are yet to be published, but early indications are that it will compete alongside the 20mm sectional door panel type doors. Alutech would like to thank their customers and partners for their valuable contribution in bringing the new Trend range to the market place, because with the feedback given Alutech have produced a door system they are proud to put their name to and hope their customers will too. After all you helped design it. 77 THE door industry journal spring 2015 garage doors full length safety spring cover Punched horizontal track, with pre assembled top cable pulley wheel Deeper multi chamber bottom rubber Easy to install bottom bracket with captive ball race bearings Both showing bottom nylon foot plate
