New stock barcode system improves efficiency at Aluroll Due to success in the marketplace and a recent expansion, Aluroll have made a significant investment to their in-house systems. All stock is now managed with a new barcode system. Aluminium and steel components are recorded and tracked using handheld barcode scanners. Quantities are then updated within the cloud-based server and accessed with a bespoke app. This stock management system ties in with a state-of-the-art cut sheet programme which will automatically prepare the manufacturing specification guidelines as soon as an order is placed. The market-leading software therefore provides a precise account of current stock levels, and also allows for efficient ordering and reduces wastage. Development is also underway on an online portal which will help customers place, and check the status of, their orders online. Martin Brown, Development Director at Fentrack, said: “Aluroll’s tailored order processing system will automate the approach that makes them unique in the roller shutter market whilst bringing a significant increase in order processing efficiency. “It is exciting for us to work with such an energetic and enthusiastic company and FenTrack look forward to supporting Aluroll with their exciting plans for the future.” www.aluroll.co.uk Storage extension supports Aluroll’s growth Aluroll has rearranged its factories and extended its storage to help serve a growing customer base.
