Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk 10 THE door industry journal spring 2020 Industry News No Such Thing as a Free Lunch? Well there is on this occasion… As a fully participating member of the Door & Hardware Federation ( dhf ), JD (UK) Ltd is fully on board with the ethos of “Raising Standards” that sits at the heart of the dhf . With this in mind, the sole UK supplier of Alutech garage doors, roller shutter components and garage door automation is inviting the garage door community to a seminar open day, jointly hosted by the dhf and JD (UK) Ltd, held at the company’s premises in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire at the beginning of June this year. JD (UK) MD, Steve Hudson, explains: “The day will be split into two halves. The first half of the open day will be led by the Chairman of the dhf and other key members of the dhf compliance team. This will mainly focus on the compliance of manufacturing and installing of domestic roller doors, CE marking and legal requirements. This will help you safeguard your business, staff and customers against possible litigation and prosecution. “As well as this, we will be reviewing past cases of non-compliant doors, answering questions and dispelling myths about what is and isn’t legal or compliant, and the role of the dhf within all this. “The second half of the day will be where JD (UK) Ltd will launch TWO completely new products to the UK garage door market. Unfortunately, that’s as much as we can say on that!” Lunch will also be provided on the day. With limited lunch places available, please contact either info@dhfonline.org.uk or info@jdukltd.co.uk to secure your place.
