Led by Managing Director Simon Perks, who boasts 26 years of experience in the door industry, most of these dedicated to developing and managing the manufacture and distribution of Roller Garage Doors & Roller Shutters. Alongside Simon are long standing and trusted colleagues, Production Manager Steve Brough and Technical Manager Ian Wallace, both of whom have also surpassed over 25 years in the industry. Whilst the company may be in its infancy, the team behind it are past masters. Giving valuable support from the wings are two familiar faces from the Industry - Directors Steve Hudson of JD UK/Alutech Systems and Andrew Nurse of Southern Grille and Gate. Being incorporated into an already successful group, the company is able to draw upon a wealth of experience and a network of customers and suppliers. Launching in the year of the pandemic is definitely a challenging and potentially risky feat. However, like many home improvement products, the Roller Garage Door saw an unprecedented boom in sales, and with the message from the government to stay at home, the trend has continued into 2021 and hopefully beyond. This increase in demand has created a headache for manufacturers, many have struggled to cope with the sheer volume of the additional work, coupled with problems importing stock from overseas and lead times have suffered as a consequence, with some manufacturers taking 3 months to produce and deliver a standard specification door.
