Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk 8 THE door industry journal spring 2024 Industry News Hörmann UK Updates Product Display at Coalville Headquarters Hörmann UK has just completed an extensive refurbishment and update of their product showroom based at the company’s Coalville headquarters. The acquisition of the Fen-Bay Group, the inclusion of the Hörmann Truedor range of composite doors into its product portfolio, plus all of the usual updates and improvements to the range, has resulted in months of building, organisation, and re-stocking with impressive results. For the domestic side of the business, an extensive selection of garage doors are available to view and operate, with examples of the whole product range being on show, in a selection of designs, styles and colours. Entrance doors from the Hörmann steel and aluminium range are also featured but are now joined by a large selection of composite doors from the Hörmann Truedor range. The Hörmann Truedor display consists of some of the most popular door styles and colours, from the more traditional to some truly eyecatching designs and colours. Also included in the display are the Clima63 thermally efficient composite doors which can achieve a U value of below 1 W/m2k and the cost-effective Platinum 44, a secure, elegant steel door set within a PVC frame. The industrial area of the showroom now includes two recently launched industrial doors, the TurboLux transparent high-speed spiral door and the Series 60 high-speed sectional door – the latter of which can be seen installed and working in the goods inwards/despatch area of the warehouse. Also featured is the new DSS scissor dock shelter, a product which is unique to Hörmann in the market, together with both swing lip and telescopic lip dock levellers. An external demonstration area has been created which offers a firsthand experience for a range of industrial products including a Vehicle to Ground (V2G) yard lift and a Universal dock lift from Hörmann Transdek together with a Hörmann scissor lift. These have all been fully installed onsite and are available for live demonstrations. Also installed within the main warehouse is a Hörmann Transdek 1-tonne capacity mezzanine goods lift, which can be seen in regular use transferring equipment between the warehouse floor and the Hörmann product showroom. Commenting on the update David O’Mara, Marketing Manager at Hörmann UK: “We get a large number of visitors to our Coalville site from all sectors of the business and an up-to-date, inspirational showroom is a must. “The addition of several new product areas from our recent acquisition has posed some interesting questions as to how to display some of the larger products such as the yard lifts. However, I think all of the work we have carried out has been well worth it. We are now able to illustrate our complete range of domestic garage and entrance doors and visitors on the industrial side of the business can not only see the majority of our product range but are also able to see some of the new products in action.” For further information on Hörmann UK’s products visit www.hormann.co.uk or call 01530 516868.
