From early years through to the sixth form, Moorland offers all phases of childhood education and has specialist academies for football, ballet, and military education. Moorland School’s vision is to be recognised as a world-class educational, footballing and ballet international day and boarding school. The Problem Moorland wanted to protect their pupils and their people from Covid-19 as much as possible and in this case, it was their door handles and touch surfaces that needed attention. Moorland needed to find a way to keep them free from contamination at all times without the need for constant cleaning. This would not only offer the levels of protection Moorland were adamant to achieve, but it would also free up resources. Typically, when an organisation wants to protect their door handles in this way it would need to replace them all with pre- protected ones. Moorland wanted to avoid this large expense and inconvenience whilst finding a solution that offered the same level of protection. Finding a Solution Loxta Hardware introduced Moorland School to its Covid-secure spray paint, TouchProtect ® . TouchProtect ® would allow Moorland to shield its door handles and surfaces from viruses such as Covid-19 and bacterial contamination for between 1-3 years. The key features and benefits of TouchProtect ® for Moorland would be: • Anti-viral and anti-microbial surface paint • ISO22196 tested: Measurement of antibacterial activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces Moorland School’s world-class educational and sporting facilities Loxta’s TouchProtect ® anti-viral & anti-bacterial spray paint canister
