The new roll sizes give more options when ordering and the size are great to keep on a van. With these rolls now available, installers do not need to invest so much when safety edges for a job are needed. As well as the shorter rolls of Sentir Edge profile, aluminium backing now comes in 2.5m lengths further increasing the ease for the installers with their van stock. The shorter aluminium lengths are also less prone to being damaged or bent. These new aluminium backing profiles are also easier to ship for the couriers which, from time to time, have damaged the 5m lengths of aluminium. Dave Blake, of Easygates Direct, ASO Safety Solutions UK Competence Partner, explained why the new 15m profiles are such a revelation for some gate installers: “Feedback from some of our customers suggested that the 30m rolls are often too large and are a significant investment. When installers are buying 30m but only have one or two jobs they are losing out, in response to this feedback we saw 15m as a popular choice for installers as they can manage their stock and vans a lot easier. We also find that customers are using multiple profiles on different parts of the gate, this smaller order size helps customers stock some of each profile they may need.”.
