They’ve certainly been busy recently as SWS UK has announced a series of new product improvements to their industry-leading SeceuroGlide Roller Garage Doors. And while quality, advanced products are a given from SWS UK, it’s become apparent that the popular manufacturer always has one eye on how they can make life easier for its distributors and installers. Here are just some of SWS UK’s most recent roller garage door updates: Pre-Built Boxes When you order either a SeceuroGlide Original or a SeceuroGlide Excel with a full or half box, the door will now be supplied with a pre-built box as standard. This is going to be a popular update with fitters who will benefit from a quicker and easier on-site installation. Override Notching All pre-built SeceuroGlide boxes are now supplied with a pre-cut override exit. Distributors can simply select their chosen override position when creating quotes using SWS Online. Again, this clever update will save the installer time when fitting the door. They have introduced the option to add a 90-degree hood to their manual roller garage door, and distributors can also request a nonstandard override exit position on a 90-degree box. Low-Level Override Spacer Block SWS UK’s Product Development team has designed a new lowlevel override spacer block which eliminates the need for makeshift packers. The block, which is really easy to fit, improves the fitment of low-level overrides on reveal-fitted doors and houses the override on the door’s guides. 90mm Guides for SeceuroGlide Original The SeceuroGlide Original is SWS UK’s most popular roller garage door, and it now benefits from added strength and even better security. How? Any door over 3m wide will be supplied with the larger, 90mm guides as standard. Distributors who have purchased SWS UK’s LPCB-approved roller garage door, the SeceuroGlide Excel, will already be familiar with the guides which are supplied on this door across all sizes. Improved Locking on the SeceuroGlide LT SWS UK’s entry-level garage door; the SeceuroGlide LT is now even better value with an upgraded locking system. Higher quality, more-secure auto-lock straps and collars have been introduced which makes the LT comparable with other doors available at this price point in the marketplace. Packaging Improvements And finally, SWS UK has sourced premium packaging to protect their premium product. Most recently, they have made some improvements to the packaging for their pre-built boxes. This includes lugs now being safely housed inside the box, reducing the likelihood of damage during transit. The new boxes are then secured with glue and the external strapping has been removed, making the boxes stronger, easier to open and reducing packaging waste. A separate box for guides and axles has also been introduced, preventing the parts from rubbing together during transit.
