This will culminate in the announcement of the forming of Teckentrup UK Ltd in association with its UK distributor Signature Doors Ltd. “This is an obvious and logical step for both businesses,” said Jim Rodger, managing director of the new business. “Not only is it logical but it’s great news for all of our customers as it reaffirms the brand’s commitment to the UK and gives the market some real choice!” The Teckentrup Depot began its life in 2008 as the sole distributor of the Carteck sectional garage door range from Teckentrup GmbH, Germany. Starting a business at the sharp end of a global recession presented plenty of challenges, but the company forged ahead with its service based ethos to establish a strong and trusted presence in the UK garage door market. Jim continued, “Now, both our garage doors and commercial doors will be marketed under the Teckentrup name. We confidently expect that commercial door sales will grow swiftly and eventually form the major part of our business - as is the case already in the German market.”
