A 30-year relationship with leading manufacturer Hörmann, saw both companies pool their efforts into providing potential customers with the knowledge and product offering to undertake a door renovation project. Access, which is one of the UK’s largest garage door installers, specifically requested Hörmann’s HST side-sliding sectional on the stand; due to its unique design attributes and the popularity it achieved at 2013’s NEC show. Hörmann’s market-leading RollMatic and range of insulated entrance doors were also exhibited. These included the aluminium ThermoCarbon and ThermoSafe that offer a highly secure five to nine-point locking system. The ThermoCarbon was a particular highlight to consumers at the show, as it boasts the lowest Ud-value available on the market. Visitors were very interested to hear about product reliability, and the most recurring question related to fully understanding the fitting space required for such an installation. Access Garage Doors Ltd.’s managing director James Wright is pleased to report that orders are starting to materialise: “By exhibiting at these shows, we have greater access to discerning customers who are venturing into longer-term projects,” he commented. “Combining our efforts with Hörmann enables us to promote the Access name, alongside a leading manufacturer that offers a top quality, comprehensive range of doors and associated products.” The door duo successfully collaborated at the same show in 2013, and is looking forward to the London Homebuilding & Renovating and Home Improvement Show at Excel next year. *Ud-values represent the overall thermal efficiency of the fitted door, which can often be higher than the stated U-value of the door panel alone.
