The MB-TT50 and MB-SR50N HI+ systems are designed for constructing large glazed walls in hotels or public buildings such as banks, office towers, administration buildings or sports halls. Systems can also be used for building curtain walls, ceilings and other spatial structures. They allow the creation of large glazing in buildings while ensuring excellent insulation, which has been recognised by the PHI Institute in Darmstadt. Consequently, these products may be used in the construction of passive buildings. At the moment, only three curtain wall systems are certified A + by the Passive House Institute in Darmstadt, and this includes the two above-mentioned Aluprof systems. The installation was completed by Leicester based, Norman & Underwood, Director Ross Hedley, takes up the story, “ The project was a challenging one, as during the design stages we had to demonstrate that we could achieve the high levels insulation and acoustic performance. The broad range of Aluprof systems allowed us to achieve the specification.” A wide range of door systems are available from Aluprof, these include commercial and residential doors systems, swing, sliding, sliding folding as well as roller shutter garage doors. Aluprof also specialise in fire rated door systems and screens with are approved under the ‘Certifire’ scheme. Aluminium doors and screens can be designed to achieve up to EI120 ratings.
