Unlike in previous years, this time the show included a number of inter-active events for delegates. A total of 52 stands filled the three adjacent halls with a noticeable increase in the number of overseas companies exhibiting. These included companies from Germany, Australia, Belgium and France, together with major UK players. Many of the exhibitors were taking the opportunity to show new products. The DHF Powered Gate Group transformed the two adjacent halls into the Powered Gate Pavilion as part of ‘Gate Safety Week’. This pavilion hosted a seminar by HSE inspector, Stuart Charles. Stuart Charles was the HSE inspector who led the investigation into the tragic death of a five-year-old child in a South Wales automated gate accident. A further seminar entitled, Training – Who Needs It? , was staged by Tim Drew – Managing Director of Fencing and Construction Training (FaCT), once during the morning and again in the afternoon. Among the many promotional offers available, one company raffled a £2,000 turnstile and others offered ‘Fencex’ discounts valid against orders placed on the day. Fencex will return on 12th October 2016 at the same venue; to enquire about or to book a stand call 01543 480322 or visit www.fencex.com
