The IN2 Access & Control Ltd. “Safety Selector App” has been designed for installers and maintainers of automatic gates and industrial doors to make the job of choosing safety edges and controllers as simple as possible. The app allows the user to enter their full contact details including name, address, email and contact number in order for us to process their quotation request. The safety selector section gives the user the ability to make an informed choice regarding the rubber profile size, of which there are 11 to choose from, with the dimensional diagrams on each of the profile selection pages. They are then able to enter the exact size and type required and supply the cable length. Once the user has chosen their safety edges they are able to select one or more Safety edge controllers, with over 12 variants to choose from. In addition there is a “Safety Info” page which allows the user to download safety information (when a 3G / 4G signal or Wi-Fi is available) detailing the Door Hardware Federation’s “Guide to Gate Safety Legislation and Standards”, various HSE safety bulletins and the HSE’s “5 steps to risk assessment”. The reference guide selection allows offline access to quick reference/setup guides for the Bircher Reglomat safety controllers making installations much easier. Quick reference guides currently include the ESGate 2 and ESGate 3 fixed safety edge controllers, Intra 6-2 and Intra 6-3 inductive transmission systems, as well as the RFGate 2.2 wireless safe edge systems. Once all of the users’ contact information and other requirements have been entered, the user can send this data for a quotation which will ensure pricing is waiting for them when returning to the office.
