As you will probably have noticed from its weight, this is our biggest issue to date extending to 128 pages of news and information from the door, hardware and gate industries. Our lead story on page 6, also featured on the front cover, explains the duties installation companies have to carry out, in order to comply with both CE marking requirements under the Machinery Directive and the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) when installing powered garage doors. The subject of our lead story was also the key reason for the one day Garage Door Expo, held at the NEC in Birmingham, which saw Hörmann, Garador, Novoferm, SWS UK, Teckentrup and Garage Door Systems come together for the first time to offer their expertise on these important EU directives.
