Hörmann’s steel Thermo65 and Thermo46 entrance doors offer some of the lowest UD -values available, at just 0.87 W/(m 2 .K) and 1.1 W/(m 2 .K) respectively, to provide you with the highest levels of thermal insulation. As well as this, both of these Hörmann doors are equipped with multiple-point locking and are optionally available with break-in-resistant RC2 security equipment as standard. So, for the ultimate in thermal efficiency and security for new build and refurbishment projects, Hörmann’s entrance doors are the perfect choice. NORTH VALLEY METAL LAUNCHES NEW EN 16005-COMPLIANT SWING DOOR RANGE North Valley Metal (NVM), one of the UK’s most respected door industry suppliers, has added three new EN 16005-compliant operators – the 870, 880 and 890 series - to its auto swing door range. The 870 series offers a competitive solution for installations using lighter weight doors, or with low-density traffic, whilst the 890 series caters for the other end of the scale, as it can handle the heaviest loadings and highest traffic flows. The 880 series, meanwhile, is incredibly versatile – offering a spring-assisted operator that functions equally well as push-and-go, or on fully automatic mode on door leaf weights of up to 220kgs. The spring-assisted 880 series is fully reversible for either left or right-handed Lear openings. All units in the range are synchronous for double door installations and can be programmed for emergency exit and alarmed systems. The cutting edge technology used across the range makes it stand out in terms of efficiency and reliability. The 100v–240v brushless motor operates at 40w - compared to the market standard 150w - making these models the most cost-effective operators on the market. The 8w standby mode ensures efficiencies are protected whilst the units are dormant. In addition, the brushless motor reduces operational noise by up to 40% and is housed with the gearbox in a double-aluminium shell for added protection. “This is a range that’s been designed very much with the installer in mind,” says NVM Managing Director John Seymour. “As well as being EN 16005-compliant, it offers a panel with micro-USB connectivity to PC or laptop, allowing for more personalised site- specific settings and SD memory card functionality. This enables you to replicate settings between operators, thus reducing setup times on multi-door sites. Default settings can also be adjusted using the on-board alphanumeric display.” North Valley Metal has also recently added to its growing range of motor tubes, with the addition of the S series. The new motor has a rating of 40nm and 15rpm, is CE and TUV accredited, and offers 4min thermal break, IP44 rating and manual override. Every motor is supplied with twizzle limits, rigid eye, star bracket or flat fixing plate, one set of crown and adaptors in a range of sizes, and carries a five-year warranty.
