The addition of new products from their key suppliers including Bircher, WITT Sensoric and AERF, means IN2 Access can meet the needs of the market, thanks to direct customer feedback. This year, Bircher has expanded its product range and with new safety edge profiles including the popular CoverLine EPE040/067A0T and a new S-Line EPE016/025A0T. A lot of time goes in to the development of a new profile, from looking at the viability of the product, to TUV testing and field trials. Both new profiles boast increased performance in the form of improved switching points and increased overtravel to the danger levels of 250 and 400 N. End users are starting to pay particular attention to industry standards and understand the need for safety. Customer feedback told IN2 Access that aesthetics are the key reason for end users being reluctant to fitting safety edges. The CoverLine profile improved the visual aspect but the smaller profiles had a pictorial weakness, which was instrumental in the decision to begin supplying black anodised aluminium mounting rails to their safety edge range. “Market feedback is a key factor in our decision making” said Kane Tetley, Director – IN2 Access and Control Ltd.
