14 THE door industry journal winter 2020 Industry News Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk New Technical Manager Hired at SWS UK With an expanding product portfolio, SWS UK were looking for a manager who could develop and evolve processes within their highly valued Technical department, whilst proactively supporting the company’s ethos on innovation, reliability and engineering integrity. They are now pleased to announce that following a lengthy recruitment process, they have welcomed Gordon Gray into the role of Technical Manager. Gordon joins SWS UK with an extensive background in mechanical engineering and over 15 years’ experience within the motoring sector. Working as a Design Team Leader for Triumph Motorcycles, Gordon was responsible for a team of designers who designed the accessories to fit various new motorcycle models. Benefitting from experience in car engineering for both Ford and Jaguar, Gordon has a fantastic technical mentality, which will give him the tools to understand SWS UK’s broad spectrum of products while at the same time, effectively driving the company’s Technical department. Commenting on his new role with SWS UK, Gordon told us: “I am looking forward to working with and developing the technical team at SWS to support the business in creating high quality products. I am very interested in design, and enjoy the plan, development and manufacturing process. Learning how SWS produces and manufactures its range of products and being able to utilise my breadth and depth of experience to add value will undoubtably be a rewarding experience”.
