On Friday 22nd October, the Strongdor Team joined thousands of amazing people who wore something pink to help raise money to support life- changing breast cancer research and life-changing care. The past year has come with many challenges, people have been diagnosed with the disease at a time when everything from treatment to screenings has been disrupted. Tim Devenish (Managing Director) explained: “After a challenging few years, it was ever more important that this year, we did what we could to support everyone diagnosed and affected by breast cancer.” This is a disease that touches the hearts of many, including some of the Strongdor team. It is Breast Cancer Now’s goal that by 2050, everyone affected by breast cancer will live, and receive the support they need to live well. Strongdor Celebrates the Roaring Success of Their New Steel Door Factory, Resulting in 2 Key Internal Promotions for the Team! Following significant growth at Strongdor; Tracy Fairbrother, previously Customer Service Advisor and Jay Wilson, Production Team Leader have been promoted to Customer Care Manager and Production Manager, to help support the company goals. Jay has been with Strongdor for 8 years and is now responsible for leading and managing team members conducting manufacturing operations, warehouse, goods in and dispatch. He contributes and leads continuous improvement activities throughout the process and supports R&D on new steel door projects. Head of Operations, Phil Ward, “We have recognised and value the contribution Jay adds to our business, his promotion to manager has been possible through the business investing in effective succession planning and his commitment to personal growth. He is driven, ambitious and always displays a desire to move the business forward.” Being a self-starter he thrives on responsibility, displaying positive creative problem-solving techniques delivered in a calm and controlled manner, whilst possessing great technical and practical abilities allows Jay to be a highly regarded member of the leadership team. Another round of huge congratulations goes to Tracy who has been promoted to Customer Care Manager. Tracy has been with Strongdor for almost 3 years and always has a passion for excellence in customer service.
