39 THE door industry journal winter 2021 Also online at: www.dijonline.co.uk Industry News important ensuring that when they were able to trade, we were there providing product, advice and doing our bit to help them through difficult times. Our ability to be able to call on the resources of a multi-national group has enabled us to counter the unpredictability and demands of COVID. It has certainly been a team effort and my personal thanks go to everyone concerned. Looking forward our focus will always be on providing the best product and service on the market and it is a given that if you choose the Hörmann brand, our quality will be second to none. We are lucky to belong to a strong, financially sound organisation so constant investment will continue in our manufacturing plants, facilities, and people, with the market being assured that new products will continue to be developed that match future trends and demands. My particular emphasis over the next 12 months will be working with the team to ensure that we are the Domestic and Industrial supplier of choice, that Hörmann is the ‘go to’ brand whether you are an end-consumer, builder, developer, architect, or a business owner. The message is clear, there is a ‘Hörmann Difference’ that is real and tangible. It really is all about the best products and innovative services, all supported by the best team in the market. The successful introduction of our first virtual Innovation Day in October was the first opportunity to take this message to the market in a new and creative way. Moving forward the protection of the environment and sustainability will continue to be a key aspect for the whole Hörmann group. Having made inroads to cutting our energy use through the installation of solar panels on the roof of the Coalville facility, to the provision of electric and hybrid cars for our sales team, Hörmann is committed to doing its part for a sustainable future. And finally, our customers. It is our ongoing aim to help our customers, both existing or new, to be the most professional in the market, providing them with the best sales leads and ensuring that they have the right product at the right time to satisfy demand. Not only have they been busy working on some innovative and fun campaigns, but they have also welcomed two new colleagues to the department. Marizel Le Roux and Bella Kemp, join David O’Mara who has been Marketing Manager at Hörmann for the past 16 years. Marizel has joined as Marketing Co-ordinator with specific responsibility for the development and organization of promotional campaigns for both the Domestic and Industrial sides of the business. Her role will involve working closely with Hörmann’s creative agency and she has recently been instrumental in the Hörmann Alone/Secured by Design campaign and the virtual Innovation Day. She is also responsible for the company’s social media activity and the further development of the Partner Standard scheme. With a First Class degree in Business Management and Marketing, Marizel has previously worked in higher education. She worked closely with the design and digital teams to work on creatives needed for different campaigns for various platforms such as social media adverts, e-shots, and programmatic banners. Bella Kemp also has a First Class Marketing Degree from Liverpool John Moores University and is the new Marketing Administrator. She oversees communication with end-users, along with being the key point of contact for the sales teams for the supply of marketing materials and maintains Hörmann’s considerable stock of samples and product literature. Working to support both David and Marizel in the creation of new promotional campaigns, social media content, e-shots and exhibition attendance, Bella has joined Hörmann straight from university. David O’Mara, Marketing Manager comments, “It’s great to welcome both Marizel and Bella to the team. 2021 has seen the department move forward with a clear marketing vision for both the domestic and industrial sides of the business, having produced several exciting campaigns which have certainly surprised and engaged the market.
